WHAT IS AN APPRAISAL

An appraisal is not a list of artistic artifacts with prices, nor a certificate stating value. An appraisal is a well-researched report written for a specific purpose, utilizing a particular type of value: retail replacement, fair market, or market cash value. It is analyzed within the most relevant market and details the process used to determine the resulting value.
Steven Clay Art offers appraisal services for private, corporate, and institutional collections. We provide appraisals for the following purposes:
• Insurance
• Estate Tax and Equitable Distribution
• Charitable Donation
• Damage/Loss
• Restrictive Informational Purposes
• Additional Services

All appraisals are USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) compliant.
